Square Teak Serving Platter

The minimalist and geometric design of this square serving platter is modern as much as it is functional. Looks great with the round teak serving platter as a set. This gorgeous dish is hand carved out of a single piece of teak wood and comes from the Casamance region of Senegal. The artisan, Dembe Sow, is of the Laobe community who are traditional crafts people specializing in working with the wood of the Tectona Grandis tree. Each piece is lovingly and carefully carved carrying forward the heritage of his ancestors and honoring his history while sharing his passion with the world.
