Round Teak Serving Platter

The minimalist and geometric design of this round serving platter is modern as much as it is functional. Perfectly sized (not too big) for crackers, nuts or chips at your next gathering, as much as for decorative purposes on a shelf or coffee table. It look great paired with the square teak platter! This gorgeous tray is hand carved out of a single piece of teak wood and comes from the Casamance region of Senegal. The artisan, Dembe Sow, is of the Laobe community who are traditional crafts people specializing in working with the wood of the Tectona Grandis tree. Each piece is lovingly and carefully carved carrying forward the heritage of his ancestors and honoring his history while sharing his passion with the world.
