Diamond Bamileke Shield
These beautiful shields take their name from the Bamileke people of Cameroon, and they come from an area known collectively as the Cameroon Grasslands. While these shields are no longer used in battle, they represent local rites and customs of the Bamileke tribe, and are used to to tell historic ancestry stories. These shields are expressive sculptural art pieces that are favorites of decorators, designers and lovers of African Art. They come mounted on a metal detachable stand ready to set up.
