Founded in 1985, Tintsaba was created with a vision to expand economic opportunity for rural women in Eswatini through meaningful, sustainable craftsmanship. What began as a small initiative with just 12 women has grown into an internationally recognized artisan enterprise, having trained and worked with more than 890 women over the years. Through handweaving, these artisans have gained not only income, but greater independence, stability, and the ability to support their families and communities.

Known for their exceptional craftsmanship and refined design, Tintsaba’s handwoven sisal creations are celebrated around the world for both their beauty and the powerful story behind them. Deeply committed to quality, collaboration, and environmental responsibility, the organization continues to champion the holistic wellbeing of rural women while preserving and elevating one of Eswatini’s most remarkable weaving traditions.
