Olivewood Giraffe

(4 reviews) Write a Review

Giraffes are known throughout Africa for their natural curiosity. Twiza is the name for giraffe in the language of the Shona people of Zimbabwe. An old African folktale tells of God speaking to his newly created animals as to their purpose on earth.  As God spoke to Twiza, she stretched her neck to heaven to hear more clearly. God was pleased and gave her a long, elegant neck so she could reach the leaves of the tallest trees-and as a sign to others that extra effort is rewarded.

I’ve been looking for a 4’ giraffe for a long time. The ones usually offered look like a caricature. And then I found this. It’s so beautiful., so well crafted, with beautiful details on the tail and back, and a very realistic and sweet look! I highly recommend it

I bought the 30in giraffe a few months ago and we love her. She has a simple elegance and is complimented by everyone who sees her, but she is lonely so I bought a 24in to keep her company. My compliments to the artist, Shepard Ncube, we are proud to have his work in our home.
