Cephas Mashaya


Cephas Mashaya is a talented artist that began sculpting in stone at the age of 6.

Cephas was born in 1981 and began sculpting at the age of 6. After completing his education he was apprenticed to his brother Tinei Mashaya. Initially he worked in his rural area of Nyanga but in order to gain more experience and exposure he later moved to Harare, Zimbabwe. He is a committed young sculptor with great potential. His primary aspiration is to contribute significantly to the art of Zimbabwe. His exhibits such as “You never listen to me, Mama” at the Bonsai Courtyard Observatory, in the United Kingdom, display both perceptiveness and technical skill.
