We - and the rest of the world are figuring out how to navigate these strange times. As we adapt to the ever changing status quo, these are the solutions we have come up with in order to fulfill our commitment of providing sustainable sources of income to our partners in Africa, and ensure the viability of our business. We don't take safety lightly, and as our team is a somewhat huggy, close-knit group, all of this feels a bit awkward, but we are determined and are powering on with abandon.

IS MBARE SHIPPING ORDERS?
Yes, we are shipping orders out of our Athens, GA warehouse although we are operating on a reduced schedule with reduced (wo)manpower. Our small yet mighty team is practicing safety, hygiene and caution with each other and with the handling of each order. We will continue to fulfill orders as long as it is safe for our team and we are permitted to do so by our local government.
IS THE MBARE TEAM PRACTICING SOCIAL DISTANCING?
Absolutely, we have defined work areas that are more than 6 ft apart, each with its own tools and supplies that get disinfected regularly and don't get shared. We also have established paths around the warehouse so that each person doesn't have to cross paths with one another. We routinely disinfect doorknobs, faucets, light switches, etc. We all eat apart from each other at lunchtime, so as not to share our usual communal table.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Most in stock items ship within 1 business day. All major shipping carriers continue to operate as usual, so each order will take the normal amount of time, according to your chosen shipping method.
ARE MBARE'S ARTISAN PARTNERS SAFE?
Many of the countries we source from have instituted mandatory 3 week shutdowns and our artisan suppliers are complying and prioritizing safety above all. Those that work from home are still safely working from home. Regulations and responses to this pandemic vary from country to country, including orders to shelter in place or closing borders to all international travel or shipping. This does mean that it will take longer to restock certain items, but know that we are unwavering in our commitment to support our partners during this time.
