The cape, or African, buffalo may reach 7 ft in length, weigh more than 1,500 lb, and reach a height of 5 ft at the shoulder. Cape buffalo gather in herds of up to a thousand animals. They are aggressive and powerfully built, and can easily fend off the attack of a lion. Metal is cut by hand and turned into these delightful sculptures by these artists using snips, pliers, and hammers. These pieces are then meticulously painted one by one.
