These horns are from Cameroon, sourced from the N'dama cattle that are found throughout West Africa. The N'dama are believed to have been introduced to nomadic traders via the land connection with Asia, and traders collect and store the horns, making them available only every few years. In rural Africa absolutely nothing is wasted, and these striking horns, with their individual colors and markings, give testament to the value of the animals that provided meat, leather, sinew and bones to rural farmers.
These beautiful N'dama decorative horns are mounted on individual bases, and the measure approximately 4" - 5" in diameter and between 20" and 28" in height.
