Godfrey is currently producing abstract pieces that follow the shape of the stone and have a lot of movement, along with a particular style of head sculptures.
As of 2012 Godfrey has been carving for about twelve years. In his words, "Originally I loved art, but I was inspired by my uncle who was already carving. His name is Gladman Ziuyeka." His uncle nurtured his interest and mentored him for two years before Godfrey began working independently creating pieces and selling them on his own. He is currently producing abstract pieces that follow the shape of the stone and have a lot of movement, along with a particular style of head sculptures. He sells most of his work in Harare and is proud to be able to, "...communicate with the community, or with other people through art," and hopes that when he makes something someone will come along who might, "... fall in love and want to stay with that piece for the rest of a year or his life."
