Bobo Mask Shield

(No reviews yet) Write a Review

These beautiful mask shields were carved by the Bobo tribe of Burkina Faso to represent nature spirits that the family elders encountered in the wilderness, who watch over their families. They were used during ceremonies associated with new crops, initiations and funerals. These are rare and quite a find!
This wooden shield is mounted on a detachable metal stand and ready to be displayed.
