Ros Byrne: Artist Bio

Ros Byrne is the creative energy and founder of Ros Byrne Pottery.  Her love of this particular art form inspired her to establish a commercial business in 1986.  Ros began the small pottery studio with a thrower and an assistant.  Production consisted of stoneware pottery with a conventional western form and design.  Since then, the designs have evolved and are now characterized by a rich African feel. What started as a small studio has grown into a 14,000 square foot facility employing over 100 people.

The ceramics of Ros Byrne Pottery are of the highest standard, accepted internationally, and are seen both locally and internationally in discerning homes, lodges, and hotels.

Ros Byrne, a creative and innovative woman, founded her business with strict aesthetic principles, whilst not losing sight of the fact that the aesthetic must also be a means to an end.  Her philosophy governing employee relations is also impressive.
